I was on a time crunch buying a new car, and needed it inspected. Took the car to these guys. First, they are open on a Saturday. Secondly, they fit me in in a matter of about 20 minutes. Had the inspection done in 30 minutes. Did a bumper to bumper inspection. Guy even took it out to test brakes, gear shifting, etc. The cost was $80, but well worth it for honest feedback at noon on a Saturday. Thank you for being there when we needed you most!

I went to Honest-1 a few months ago and apologize for the lateness of this review. Originally, I went in to get some quotes on upcoming maintenance on an old car with 200,000+ miles on it. Karl took the time to give me several quotes and spoke to me about the reality of the age and high mileage of the car. Very professional. Sure enough, several weeks later one of the items went south and I took it into Honest-1. The price was a little high, but this is a franchise and I can live with that. The job was performed as described. Karl took the time to talk to me about this high mileage and pitfalls of that but we agreed to wait it out. About a month later, old age hit the car again, this time at the transmission. Karl gave me some options, we agreed on what to do and it was finished a day earlier than promised. The only part that I didn’t like was the warranty. It just stated on the invoice in one line that I had a warranty. That’s it. No terms, no conditions. I called about it but was told that is how it is handled. Since I have owned a franchise in the past, I know that these types of issues are generated at the headquarters level. With that in mind, I give 5 stars to Honest-1 Clackamas, Karl and the staff, but 1 star to Honest-1 Corporate. Will I take my car there again and recommend it?.............. Definitely.

The guys at H1 have always treated me with kindness and respect . They let you know what is wrong with your car without pushing you to repairs you cannot afford. They remember your name and are far from sleezy. I get all my work done at H1 and will forever. They even offer an oil change punch card. Ignore the negative reviews this is the place to go. I recommend them to everyone I know.

I had an excellent experience from Honest One. Had my car towed there from work on Memorial Day morning and left a note with key. I am new in town and kind of randomly picked a place. Karl called me first thing Tuesday morning and gave me a reasonable quote to replace the alternator, then said it'd be done by 1pm that day!! My brake dashboard light was on as well as the battery light. I told him there is probably nothing wrong with the brakes, that they happen to light up together ( from past experience). Anyway, he checked out the brakes for free and told me they were good:). Got my car back and running great! I have had such bad times with mechanics in the past year...I was pleasantly surprised and completely satisfied with the professionalism and work done, and added bonus AAA discount. Highly recommend.
